Nkwanta South NPP primaries: Constituency Organizer to ‘battle’ Deputy MD-SHC and Oti Regional Minister

As the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) gears up for polls to elect parliamentary candidates for 2024, the race is reportedly getting hotter and there are indications that it might get unpleasant if the current regional executives in the Oti Region do not swiftly act to mend the deepening cracks.

The controversy surrounds the aspirants choice of presidential hopefuls.
The contest in Nkwanta South Constituency will be between the incumbent PC, Hon. Sherifa Sekyre Tijani, the Oti Regional Minister, Joshua Makubu and the current constituency organizer, Kennedy Yepkle Kenzy

Ghanaxpress.com sources indicate that , the Constituency Executives of the party are sharply divided and political analysts are predicting a fierce contest between the three.

The Information detailed that, the decision by the organizer to join the parliamentary race is assumed he is being pushed into the contest to serve the interest of some candidates.

So far, the three have popped up and declared to contest should NPP open nomination but Kennedy Yekple, the Organizer of the party is believed to be a strong authority in the camp of the former trade minister, Alan Kyeremanten.

Sources on the ground gathered that, the Oti regional minister, Mr Makubu is openly campaigning with Dr. Bawumia’s name, while others are also using that of Mr. Alan Kyerematen, Kennedy Agyapong, Kunadu Apraku and the rest.
