Leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) caucus in Parliament, Cassiel Ato Forson PhD, is certain that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) are tired and needs to be shown the exit.
He is of the view that the political party is marking time and waiting to be shown the exit after the 2024 elections.
Ato Forson was addressing the media in Parliament after Speaker Alban Bagbin adjourned sitting in Parliament indefinitely.
“Certainly, everything shows that the NPP is tired, they are fedup and they are not ready to work for the people. They are bereft of ideas and they are short of vision and they cannot solve the suffering of the people.
All they do during campaigns during these hard time is to dance to sisi fia and share money. In times like these when the ordinary Ghanaian is struggling to survive they are dancing and singing sisi fia. We want Ghanaians to see them as such and vote against them. Clearly we have over 100 NDC MPs here and we were determined to do what is right,” he said.
Ato Forson urged Ghanaians not to believe anyone who says the NDC is out there to obstruct government business because they were in Parliament to ensure government business goes on but their colleagues in the NPP failed to show up.
Meanwhile, Parliament has been adjourned after it was recalled by the NPP caucus in Parliament who indicated that there was urgent government business.
