In a bid to give back to her community, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Nkwanta South, Sherifa Sekyere Tijani, organized a free health screening exercise for her constituents.
The event, which took place at the Municipal capital, saw hundreds of residents trooping in to benefit from the free health services. A team of medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, and laboratory technicians, were on hand to provide comprehensive health checks, including blood pressure, blood sugar, hepatitis B, diabetes, malaria, breast cancer and body mass index (BMI) measurements.
In addition, the team also conducted free eye and dental examinations, and provided medication and counseling to those who needed it. The event also featured a health education segment, where residents were educated on healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and management.
The deputy Managing director of state housing, Sherifa Sekyere Tijani , who was present at the event, expressed her gratitude to the constituents for their support and encouraged them to prioritize their health. She also pledged to continue supporting the communities through such initiatives, if elected as their parliamentary representative.
The free health screening exercise was well-received by the constituents, who expressed their appreciation for the candidate’s kind gesture. Many residents were seen smiling and thanking the Candidate, Sherifa and her team for the care and attention they received.
The event was seen as a testament to Hon Sherifa Sekyere Tijani’s commitment to the well-being of her constituents and her desire to make a positive impact on their lives. It also reinforced her campaign message of “Healthcare for All” and her promise to work towards improving the healthcare infrastructure in the constituency.
