Beware of NDC lies, propaganda ahead of election 2024 – Miracle Aboagye cautions Ghanaians

Miracle Aboagye made the call at the maiden edition of the Bawumia Campaign Team’s interactive show dubbed “The Next Chapter Series”
Director of Communications for the Campaign Team of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President and Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has admonished Ghanaians to stay awake and not fall for the antics, lies, and propaganda of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2024 general elections.
At the maiden edition of the Bawumia Campaign Team’s interactions with the Ghanaian electorate dubbed The Next Chapter Series, the affable communicator reminded Ghanaians of the old tricks of the opposition party and cautioned the electorate not to swallow the lies of the NDC hook, line and sinker.
‘’The lies and propaganda being churned out today by the NDC were similar to what they peddled against the NPP in the run-up to the 2008 presidential elections. They took advantage of the economic situation around that time and told lies to Ghanaians, and that is how come they won the 2008 elections’’ he stated.
He continued; ‘’The few challenges that bogged down the John Agyekum Kufuor administration, and the NDC used propaganda schemes to deceive Ghanaians into voting for them. They went as far as printing fake banking statements of Kufuor’s ministers and went round the country to preach them to the masses’’.
‘’Their current General Secretary, (Fifi Fiavi Kwetey) published outright fabrications in his newspaper, the Lens, that President Kufuor and his ministers had stolen all the gold bars at the Bank of Ghana, thereby emptying the vault at the Central Bank. Despite all the wonderful achievements of President Kufuor’s administration, a section of Ghanaians bought into those lies and voted for the NDC’’ he said.
Miracles Aboagye further stated that the lies of Fiifi Kwetey and his gang were exposed when they appeared before the vetting committee and were asked to substantiate those assertions they made, they were found wanting (he played a video to that effect).
The same Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, Miracles Aboagye stressed, who lied in 2008 against the then John Agyekum Kufuor administration, is the General Secretary of the same NDC party seeking the mandate of the Ghanaian people with the same lies and propaganda.
The difference between a good leader and a bad leader is, according to Dennis Miracles Aboagye, a good leader, amid crisis, would work together with the people, drive the people, and get them out of the challenges whereas a bad leader does not boast of such traits.
‘’Whenever NDC is in opposition, they ride on the ills at the time, misrepresent and exaggerate them and build on the emotions of the people so that they can get power, and when they get power, the consequences were what we witnessed in 2016’’ he added.
‘’I can tell you on authority that the NDC will employ the same old, obnoxious lies and fabrications as the 2024 elections get close. We should, therefore, be careful not to fall for their antics and stale propaganda as we approach this year’s elections’’ Miracles further stated.
He used the opportunity to appeal to the electorate to retain the New Patriotic Party in office with Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia as flagbearer. ‘’Let us all support and vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to take Ghana to the next chapter in our development trajectory.
