The Minister for the Interior, Mr. Henry Quartey, on the advice of the Bono Regional Security Council and the Executive Instrument, has imposed a curfew on Sampa Township in the Jama North District of the Bono Region following some chieftaincy disputes.

The curfew takes effect from Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 7 a.m. each day until further notice.

In a statement signed by the Minister of the Interior, Mr. Henry Quartey, government urges Chiefs, Opinion Leaders, youth and people of the area to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them and to use non-violent means to channel their grievances.
